Hey! I'm Steffani and blog about food (paleo + gluten free), my husband, our dog, and our lives over at Iffy Inklings.
Arizona. It kind of has a bad rap, doesn't it? It's either that racist state that doesn't want illegals here or it's the state that has a hotter-than-hell desert. Well guess what, that's not all it is!
Yes, we have deserts, and yes, there are some racist people, but there are also places where is snows enough to have a ski resort, beautiful forests, and there are so many incredibly kind people to make up for the bad ones! And honestly, the hot dessert can be breathtakingly beautiful.
I happen to live in the town with the ski resort in Flagstaff, AZ. We are about 7,000 feet above sea level, and have four seasons a year.
I have the option of going to Phoenix during the winter where the temperature is perfect, staying in my town during the summer where the temperature is also perfect, as well as chilling creekside when the weather is not perfect in either place. Who would have thought there would be a little oasis in the middle of the desert?
Also, we have the Grand Canyon. Sorry, but you can't beat that!

I am still looking for posters for several states.Would you kindly please click here to see if your state/a state you've lived in or visited in the past is still available?

we visited with peppy's mom and stepdad when they lived in phoenix. i loved it! i love how different parts of arizona have climates that differ so much.
ReplyDeleteI admit to falling into the assumption that Arizona is all desert. I really shouldn't do that!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful pictures! I'm really enjoying this series :)
ReplyDeleteArizona has always appealed to me because I love me some warm weather! I used to want to move to Arizona, but as long as I live in America I don't want to move too far away from my homestate. Might as well be able to visit while I'm livin in the states, ya know?
